Flatlining.
I managed to keep on track despite a short trip to Switzerland. I travelled on Wednesday evening and managed to get to a good restaurant before it closed. I know the menu and staff well enough that I can eat within my constraints. The following day, I had bun-less burgers and a salad.
Yet my statistics have flatlined this week. I can feel that I’m in ketosis and I have the headache to prove it. But I’m not seeing much progress.
The good news is that the NHS website says that I’m nearly in a healthy weight range. I’m right at the top of the scale for “healthy weight”. The NHS says that if your BMI is:
- below 18.5 – you’re in the underweight range
- between 18.5 and 24.9 – you’re in the healthy weight range
- between 25 and 29.9 – you’re in the overweight range
- 30 or over – you’re in the obese range
That said I don’t particularly pay attention to BMI. For me, I want to get my waist size down and feel better.
We are approaching the end of my OMAD diet. I have two weeks left. What I intend to do is take two days at Easter as cheat days and then resume with two meals a day. I will restrict carbs six days a week.
