Least Impact.
I went out and cheated last night. Again. Last night I met some folks at a PGP key signing party. Yes it sounds exciting doesn’t it? We met together, checked government-issued IDs and signed each other’s PGP keys.
We also drank beer, wine and had a curry. I usually drink wine these days and as I’ve mentioned, ad nauseum, one can get away with a small amount of wine on a diet. But not the amount I had last night. It was a night out after all.
When we got to the curry house on Brick Lane, I’d given up. I intended to order a tandoori mixed grill to avoid any carb entanglements. But I ended up ordering a chicken curry with the trimmings. And I also demolished the poppadoms when they arrived at the table.
But bizarrely it does not seem to have mattered too much. I had a walk afterwards to the station and got a late train home. But this morning I still have ketones in my system and my weight hasn’t jerked upwards. Rice and naan bread would normally cause a complete stop, but not yesterday.
Ho hum. I will have a cheat day tomorrow, but I don’t deserve it.
