As I ordered my cheat dinner of KFC with extra chicken last night, I realised that today was going to be a tough day. The first day after a cheat day can be tricky. Purely because one must get back on the wagon after a day of freedom.

But whatever I’m trying to do currently, it is not working. Here are the key things that are wrong:

I’m not getting enough rest. I’m very tired and I’m trying to do too much.

I have a complete lack of self-discipline. It’s too easy for me to break the rules now. So I end up having the odd drink here and the odd carb there.

I’m kidding myself that I’m following any rules. The only good news I have is that, by and large, the food I eat is good. I’ve seen evidence of ketosis this week but no evidence of weight loss.

I’m back up at 86kg and I need the number to start going down again. So I’m getting stricter today. I will plan the day ahead including meals and exercise. And stick to the plan.
