One week has gone by and I’ve managed the OMAD diet with no booze. I’ve also done some press-ups and weights each day. And I’ve not been sedentary, although I could have done better.

Yesterday, ketosis kicked in. I woke early, went to London and worked there. In the evening I had a steak with vegetables at the Flat Iron restaurant.

This morning I had a ketone reading of 8mmol/L which means ketosis is in play. So I’m on track.

I must admit that I fancied a glass of red wine last night and to be honest on Monday night too. But on both occasions I resisted. You see it is easier to resist when the benefits of not doing something are visible. Since starting the OMAD diet again, I’ve been generally more awake and able to concentrate better. I don’t want to ruin that.

Autumn is upon us. I still struggle a bit to get out of bed because at 6:30 or 7 it is dark. That’s because it is really 5:30 or 6 and we need the clocks to go back this weekend. But once I’m up and out of bed, it’s easy to get going.

On Friday night, I’m popping out to a comedy night. I will have a Tandoori Mixed Grill with spinach or chickpeas at an Indian Restaurant. I suspect I might have a glass of wine, but it will only be one. Now I’ve said it, I will have to follow the rule.
