I’ve managed to stay on the OMAD diet since the 17th. I have not deviated from the food part. Unfortunately this week I have deviated on the booze part. I’ve drunk some wine - nothing terrible, but too much for someone on a diet.

The main reason is a trip to Switzerland. I had drinks with colleagues most evenings. I survived by living off steak and bun-less burgers.

But strangely, it hasn’t affected anything. The weight is descending and the ketosis tests are positive. I was going to have a full cheat day tomorrow, but I’m seeing too much progress. So I will stay on OMAD for another week at least.

If I get up and get going, everything goes well. What with the dark mornings, it can be difficult. But I get up, do some press-ups and then get the first coffee of the day. My concentration levels are high in the morning and go on until the early evening.

So if I must fix anything, it’s to have another break from wine, but also make sure I get enough rest. I’m not switching off in the evening. I’m working too late into the night.
