I was having a Pet Shop Boys moment this morning when I wrote this. I haven’t listened to their stuff for years so I’ve no idea why today. Anyway the loose connection with my diet is that I had a full English breakfast this morning. And I don’t really deserve it.

Yes, the eggs are overdone for some. Unfortunately runny eggs upset my frail constitution.

I’ve managed to stick to the food part of the diet for the past two weeks with one exception. Last week, I had a small snack during my X stream recording. Of course I have an explanation for this. On the X stream we usually open a bottle of wine and talk about it. It’s supposed to be an informal, light-hearted conversation about blockchain. And having a glass (or two) helps. Having a bit of cheese with it helps too.

Generally I’ve had a glass or two of wine each evening. This breaks one of my diet rules. But surprisingly it has not affected weight loss too much. I’ve stayed in ketosis when I haven’t eaten carbs.

On the positives, I’ve taken the dogs for a long walk most days. And I’ve felt the benefits of that.

I had a rule to stop work (including personal work projects) by 2000 every night. This simply hasn’t happened and it’s affected my energy levels. So in summary I don’t fully deserve a full cheat day, but I need it. At least the weight numbers are going in the right direction.
