Getting there, more or less.
I appear to be back in the game with my weight approaching what it was in April. Hooray. The problem is I need to spend this week travelling. Fortunately it’s the last big trip of the year.
I’m off to Manchester this evening and I’ll be watching the football tomorrow at Old Trafford. Planning for this is easy. I will take a cheat day tomorrow and eat low carb today.
On Monday I fly to Paris. And there the problems will start. I’ve found it quite difficult to diet in France. I could try harder and ask the restaurants to remove things. But the temptation levels are high. So I’ve decided to stick to one meal a day, but not get too precious about what the meal is. Hopefully it won’t have too much of an impact.
But I’m not sure how I’ve managed to lose weight for the past weeks. I’m following the diet for the food but I’m not following all my rules. I’m not getting to bed earlier enough and I’m not sleeping well. I’m indulging in wine. Not too much for a person but too much for a diet.
Despite this, I measured a 6 on the ketosis test this morning. And I’ve dropped below 82kg. So it’s working but it should not be.
I’d like to get my fat ratio down further this year. But the run up to Christmas can be hard. There are Christmas parties with lots of food and booze. I’ve got one week of nights out and podcast recordings. Then we have the feast itself. Anyway, let’s see. I’m pleased I’ve made progress.
