Where is January going?
I was relatively successful this week. On Tuesday, I went to a comedy night. I intended to have one glass of wine towards the end, but ended up drinking one my wife didn’t want. So that’s 500ml of wine in total. When I’m being strict, I mark up to 250ml as amber and anything over that as red. Ideally, I should not drink except on cheat days of course.
When I got my intended glass, I bought a packet of biltong. I shouldn’t have done this because I should only eat twice a day. Still, no harm done. I was a little tired in the morning because it took a long time to get home.
Then I discovered that I’ve been breaking the seed oil rule. It’s very difficult not to. I eat a lot of peanuts, and they are cooked in these oils. I might have to exclude these from the rule or find alternative nuts.
Other than that, the week has gone well. I usually test positive in the morning for ketosis. But it is early days yet. I won’t see an impact to weight at least until February.
And I have two hurdles to get over. This weekend I’m going to the football at Everton. The game day will be my cheat day. Yet I’ve got to eat week on the way there and back. Then the following weekend I’m seeing friends for a couple of days. There’s a danger I will set myself back. But let’s see.
