“I’ve made mistakes”, A-Rod

It was an involved week. Lots of travel and long days at the desk. And I must admit I had a few glasses of wine in the evening.

Staying in the tax beneficial canton of Switzerland is not exciting in the evenings. I worked late on Monday and had dinner on my own. On Tuesday I was supposed to go to dinner in Zurich but had to cancel. Then I ended up philosophising with Geoff Norcott’s book and a bottle of wine.

On Wednesday we had a team dinner in a very nice restaurant. It was so nice that I decided to take a pass. To lay the foundations for any alcoholic entanglements, a colleague and I deployed a McDonalds at lunchtime. Later in the evening we went to the bar. I wasn’t home particularly late, but I don’t usually break the rules during the week.

Anyway, here I am looking at my weight statistics and they aren’t moving in the direction that I want them to. I’m going to stay put for a bit. I have no travel planned for the rest of the month. I do have some evenings out but I’m not intending to partake in red wine too much (ahem).

Also, this blog has become a bit of a side-quest. I enjoy writing it but really it is for me. The idea is that you the reader (imaginary or otherwise) can keep me to my rules. Now, it’s not working particularly well. So, I’m going to park posting on here for a bit and focus on getting my 100 Day Slow-Carb diet posts resurrected here. This was a very successful time in my life where I got my weight under control.

I’ll be back in March hopefully with some good news. “Number go down. Please.”
