Carb Crash!
I got up early yesterday and lots of things done. I gave the dogs a long walk. By around 2pm yesterday, I was good for nothing. I was hungry, to the point that I could not cope.
Saturday is, of course, carb day. So, I ordered some Fish and Chips, with some scampi to start. The fish and scampi disappeared very quickly. I did not finish the chips because there were too many. I gave myself a rest and then made some pancakes. I ate these with some fruit and couldn’t finish them.
Within about an hour, I felt drowsy. Nothing much got done after this. I sat in front of the television and watched some films. I was in bed asleep by 11pm. When I woke up this morning, it felt as if I had a hangover.
Now you wonder, was it worth the drowsiness and the negative feeling? Well, I have to say it was because eating low carb every day can be a little tedious. Once I got up, took a coffee and got into the day, I was fine. But it is telling how my body reacts to too much sugar and carbs.
