The Final Push.
It’s the final week of Lent and I’ve managed to follow my rules so far. The final push should be easy. I intend to go through the week until Good Friday, when I will break my rules with breakfast.

Last night I went to the pub and sat with my friends, matching their beer with diet coke and water. I must have drunk three pints of diet coke. Gentle reader: my advice is don’t do this. It was a silly idea, but it didn’t affect my weight loss. This morning I’m comfortably under 80kg.
And tomorrow morning I will be comfortably above 80kg. Today was carb day. I had soup and bread, then roast beef and all the trimmings, finishing with cheesecake. The Yorkshire puddings rose very well today. Top tip: don’t use your fan in the open when cooking them. The fan harasses the puddings.
Anyway 5 days to go and we should be okay. But what happens afterwards? What is the plan I hear you cry?
Well, it’s simple. On Good Friday I will have two meals. On Saturday I will probably have something low carb. I’m celebrating Easter on Sunday so will take the day off. Then I fly to Atlanta. I’ve got a plan with several cheat days, but I will be trying to be good throughout the holiday.
