I’ve been absent from this blog for 2 weeks. The truth is I’ve been mildly sick. I caught a horrible cold on the way back from Morocco. It disappeared and then reappeared on the way back from Zurich last week. On the aeroplane, I could not clear my ears during landing.

Unfortunately I did not do well in Zurich on the diet. I ended up having two cheat days. On my return, I was over 90kg and my fat percentage had increased. There was little chance of being in ketosis.

This week was a bit better. But I didn’t start well. I went to a concert on Monday night and enjoyed a glass (or two) of wine. When I returned home, I had a Gin and Tonic. This is not the sort of behaviour for someone on a diet. But there have been ketones circulating present in me since at least Wednesday.

Last night I had some wine. Having recorded a podcast late on a Friday night I felt that I deserved it. Again, not the behaviour of someone dedicated to a diet but it is not the end of the world.

I have to survive a business trip next week and I sort of have a plan of survival ready. When I get back, I need to work on my fat percentage. Meanwhile here is a picture of some pancakes that I probably don’t deserve.
