The Rules for February. And Lent.
I set myself an initial set of rules for January. And more or less I have followed them. The biggest failure is getting out of the house daily for a decent amount of fresh air. But I have exercised and I have followed the diet.
We are heading towards Lent and I’m not actually sure what I can give up. But in February and Lent I will do much the same as I did in January. Here are the rules:
- Continue on One Meal a Day. It is working.
- No starchy carbs at a meal except for one day a week (usually at the weekend)
- Bulletproof coffee in the morning (coffee with butter and MCT oil)
- No alcohol (see below)
- Exercise 5-6 times a week. This must be 30 minutes on the exercise bike, a swim or 1 hour of walking.
- Get away from the desk and into the fresh air every day if weather permits
I will make the following exceptions. On February 10th I will allow myself some wine. On February 13th (Shrove Tuesday), I may indulge in a cheat meal and have pancakes.
I have started a nice cadence of weight loss in January and I intend to continue.
