Reboot progress.
I have not updated this blog as much as I would like. The fact is this blog has become a bit of a “side-quest”. The real quest is to lose some weight and get fitter. Sometimes writing about it can get in the way of getting the real quest done.
Anyway I digress…
On the 12th of August we came back from a short break in Southbourne. It was an extended weekend of full English breakfasts, fish and chips, and a roast dinner. We found a lovely café where they serve a good inexpensive full English breakfast. And you can sit outside with a view of the sea whilst you eat it. Hooray. But not hooray for the waistline. I got home in the afternoon, put a bottle of Pinot Grigio in the fridge to end the holiday and went to bed early.
On Tuesday I woke up raring to go on the reboot I mentioned in my last post. Most of the week I did weights every morning and exercised four body parts. I took the dogs for a walk. Everything was going well and on Saturday I took a cheat day.
On the cheat day, I had too much to eat. Oh well. But I was able to enjoy one drink - a Gin and Tonic in the evening.
Every evening I was in bed by 2200 and if I was not asleep I was winding down by reading. So a fantastic start.
Unfortunately it didn’t go quite so well the following week, but I will write about that soon.
